Dear Philanthropists,
Subject—— Philosophy Magazine Subjective Reality
Quotation——Let us suppose, gentlemen, that man is not stupid. And really, you cannot say he is stupid, if only for the reason that if he is stupid, then who is intelligent? Fyodor Dostoyevsky

Philosophy from Greek is defined as the love of wisdom, and is the study of general and fundamental questions about existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language. Metaphysics is the branch of philosophy that addresses the first principle of things, and considers the fundamental nature of existence and reality. Existence is characterized by existentialism and phenomenology, and reality is characterized by relativity theory and quantum theory.

Jean-Paul Sartre defined the term existentialism as existence precedes essence for man, and wrote about the subjectivity of the cogito, “There can be no other truth to take off from this—I think, therefore I exist—the Cartesian cogito. There we have the absolute truth of consciousness becoming aware of itself. Every theory which takes man out of the moment in which he becomes aware of himself is, at its very beginning, a theory which confounds the truth, for outside the Cartesian cogito, all views are only probable, and a doctrine of probability which is not bound to a truth dissolves into thin air. In order to describe the probable, you must have a firm hold on the
true. Therefore, before there can be any truth whatsoever, there must be an absolute truth; and this one is easily arrived at; it is on everyone’s doorstep; it is a matter of grasping it directly.”

The phenomenological approach is employed to clarify comprehension of phenomena like being, consciousness and spacetime. Husserl defined phenomenology as the science of discovering the essence of consciousness centered in the first person, on the defining trait of intentionality. Husserl described the natural attitude as a way of seeing reality that reflects an everyday, ordinary way of
being-in-the-world—thus covering up a profound naïveté. With the phenomenological attitude, we look at what we normally look through: boundaries, aspects and profiles of phenomena. After performing a phenomenological examination of consciousness, Professor Eric Dodson found that all we get is subjective experience, and no objective reality. https://youtu.be/e4_qHVBIWL0

Relativity in physics is defined as the dependence of physical phenomena on relative motion of the observer and observed objects in regard to the nature of light, spacetime and gravity/inertia. Relativity tells us that reality itself is relative or subjective. The von Neumann-Wigner interpretation of quantum theory says the rules of quantum mechanics are correct, but only apply to the entire
material universe. The external human mind cannot be explained by quantum mechanics—and performs measurement on the brain causing the wave function to collapse. In other words, consciousness determines quantum reality. Quantum theory tells us that reality itself is observerdependent or subjective. Quantum theory characterizes the universe inside the atom and relativity theory characterizes the universe at large—and both say subjective experience only.

Consider the following Monte Carlo simulation experiment using Microsoft Excel to simulate one hundred normally distributed random values—and then summarize the probability distribution by calculating the four moments. The Rand function creates a uniformly distributed value between zero and one that is translated into a normal distribution with the Normsinv function. One then calculates the mean, standard deviation, skewness and kurtosis of the array of simulated values. Now consider the Monte Carlo experiment in comparison to the double-slit experiment. The MC experiment uses the Rand function to generate simulated values that are both wave and particle depending on how you look at them. The DS experiment uses a source to shoot electrons or photons that are both wave and particle depending on how you look at them. The MC experiment uses the Normsinv function to interfere with the signal by translating it from uniformly to normally distributed. The DS experiment uses the double slit to interfere with the stream with a function. The MC experiment uses the calculation of four moments to backstop the simulation process. The DS experiment uses the wall to conclude the experiment with a probability wave. Both processes shoot wave/particles through apparatus against a wall that displays a probability distribution. As an exercise in art imitating life, I would argue that MC simulation and the DS experiment are parallel processes for the reason that reality is also simulated. Reality is subjective because its simulated.

My arguments span physics and metaphysics, philosophy and science, and they all say subjectivity only. It is with this notion of subjectivity in mind that I ask you to assess my renewed argument. I am asking that you contribute $500 dollars per month for the next four years to the fundamental project of producing knowledge for its own sake. Even if I find only one client, I can still keep my
website and write six essays a year myself. I could perhaps write the twenty-four essays proposed in my letter of 14 August 2020 (Philosophy Magazine Business Plan). 👍

Higher consciousness is right around the corner. Nietzsche said we can never see around our own corner. Grof said we are approaching the time of a major paradigm shift. Soon we will all see around our own corner and shift to a new paradigm where higher truth reigns supreme. I am embracing the phenomenological attitude in creating concise, faithful, reasonable, defining essays. I believe this project makes sense for me and you and the young people as well.

Sincerely,

Christopher Bek

Monte Carlo methods, or Monte Carlo experiments, are a broad class of computational algorithms that rely on repeated random sampling to obtain numerical results. The underlying concept is to use randomness to solve problems that might be deterministic in principle. —Wikipedia
In modern physics, the double-slit experiment is a demonstration that light and matter can display characteristics of both classically defined waves and particles; moreover, it displays the fundamentally probabilistic nature of quantum mechanical phenomena. —Wikipedia
